The Ferry Shop in Fionnphort is the nearest place for all essentials, including Post Office. It also has an excellent souvenir, craft and book shop. Round the back is Mica Hardware (same ownership) with a wide range of hardware items often at very good prices.
The Ferry Shop has a public Internet Access point, which you can use for 25p per quarter hour. It may sometimes be necessary to book your session.
There is a cash machine (ATM) at the Ferry Shop in Fionnphort. It accepts most credit cards, and UK bank cards. It also accepts some personal overseas bank cards. There is no charge for transactions at this machine.
In Bunessan (5 miles) there's a Spar shop (with Post Office) and an independent grocer, Bayview Stores.
Tobermory (56 miles, allow 1 3/4 to 2 hours each way) is the 'capital' of Mull. It has several good shops, including a Co-op and a branch of the Clydesdale Bank. You can also visit the distillery !
The Keel Row (pub) has a restaurant open 6 - 9pm (last orders 8pm), serving good pub food. No advance booking, but you can wait in the bar until your table is called. In summer it can get very busy, so it's better to go early to avoid a long wait. In winter the restaurant is closed, and opening hours are generally shorter. Bar meals usually available when the restaurant is closed.
